Getting Started with EVM

  1. Go to the EVM Settings Page (http://evoicemail.ucdavis.edu) and use your UC Davis Kerberos login and password to enter the site.

  3. If you are a new EVM user, your default PIN number is 1234. Use this PIN number and your voicemail box number to log in to the EVM Settings Page.
    Note: Your Mailbox Number is usually the last 5 digits of your campus phone number. In other cases, it may be a 5-digit number that starts with an "8" or "9".

  5. When you login for the first time, you'll be prompted to change your PIN to something other than the default (for security reasons). The PIN you choose can be numbers, letters, or symbols.
  6. EVMChangePIN

  7. Enter your voicemail password (the numeric code you use to access your voicemail box from your telephone) in the "Voicemail Box Password" field in the top center part of the EVM for Avaya screen.
  8. EVMVMPassword

  9. Enter the email address(es) and/or cellular text messaging addresses in the EVM Notify Section. Text notification messages will be sent to the Notify address(es) when you receive new voicemails.

    a) Using the "Notify for:" buttons, select whether you would like to receive notifications for All Messages, only for the First New Message, or only for Urgent Messages.

    b) Make sure the "Active" checkboxes are checked next to each of the email addresses/cellular text messaging addresses.

  10. EVMNotify

  11. Enter the email address(es) in the EVM Delivery Section. Sound files of voicemail messages will be sent to the Delivery address(es) when you receive new voicemails.

    a) Using the "Voice:" buttons, select whether you would like to receive notifications for All Messages, or only for Urgent Messages, or, if you'd like to turn off the Delivery Feature, select "None".

    b) Make sure the "Active" checkboxes are checked next to each of the email addresses.

  12. EVMDelivery

  13. When you are finished entering your EVM settings, click "Submit Changes" at the bottom of the EVM for Avaya screen and be on your way with Enabled Voicemail. If you have additional questions, please check out our FAQs Page at the bottom of the EVM Feature Page
