What Can Voicemail Do For You?

Here are 14 features which distinguish an individual voicemail box from an answering machine:
  1. Answers your telephone when the line is busy.
  2. Allows you to create group lists and send a message to every person on that list.
  3. Delivers messages at a future date and time. This feature allows it to be used as a personal "tickler" file.
  4. Allows you to mark a message urgent or private.
  5. Allows you to send copies of messages to others, with your personal comments appended to the message.
  6. Allows you to use your personal password to protect messages stored in the system for confidentiality.
  7. Allows you to have guest mailboxes for co-workers, colleagues or associates to receive messages that you have left for them or they have left for you.
  8. Allows you to save messages left in the system for review at a later date.
  9. Allows you to change your personal greeting from any touch tone telephone.
  10. Provides you with the date and time that the message was left.
  11. Allows you to skip messages during review and select only those you feel need immediate attention.
  12. Allows you to check to see if someone has received a message you left them.
  13. Notifies you of a message in the system by activating a pager or another telephone number.
  14. Allows you to skirt a telephone call altogether and send a message directly to another voicemail box. This feature prevents unnecessary interruptions and provides a quick way to forward information.
