Conference Calling is a great way to bring a group of people together! IET - Communications Resources offers a variety of conference call solutions for your collaboration needs. In addition to the conference calling services listed below, every campus telephone can initiate a 3-way conference call. A 6-way conference calling feature is also available for an additional cost. Contact your Customer Service Representative for more information.

International Conference Calling Information: Please check with your conference call service provider before hosting an international conference call. Hosted conference calls with international participants may incur charges that exceed $5 per minute.


Conference Calling Services


UC Davis Meet Me

  • Call 752-1011 to arrange
  • Audio conference only
  • Set-up fee: $34.00
  • Toll charges: Incurred by each participant
  • 24-hour advance arrangement is requested
Up to 30 individuals can participate in the "Meet Me" conference call. "Meet Me" works like this: Each participant dials a pre-assigned "Meet Me" phone number at the designated conference time. The "Meet Me" phone number is reserved for the entire day, which allows for more than one telephone conversation per day.

ReadyTalk

ReadyTalk provides UC Davis with audio and web conferencing services that are simple to use, highly reliable and make it easy to host or join a meeting. With ReadyTalk's services, you can concentrate on the substance of your meeting or webinar, not on the technology.

ReadyTalk's on demand audio service requires no reservation and provides conference leaders with tools to effectively manage any conference. Share a slide presentation, review a proposal or research document, train employees on new software with ReadyTalk's web conferencing service. A single login provides UC Davis employees with access to both services.

Additionally, ReadyTalk offers a suite of event services designed to support larger meetings with 100 to 3,000 employees.

Services offered:

In order to set up service you'll need to provide contact information for your department's authorized telecommunications representative as well as contact information for the individual who needs a conference account. Once your account is set up, you'll receive an e-mail containing your conference login along with links to helpful user guides.

Campus Telephone Conference Calling Features


UC Davis Three-Way Calling
  • No advance arrangement needed
  • Available as a basic calling feature
  • Toll charge: Paid by person initiating conference call
A customer calling from a campus telephone can establish a conference with two other participants. This basic calling feature is called Three-way Conference Call.

UC Davis Six-Way Calling
  • Available as an advanced calling feature
  • Toll charge: Paid by person initiating conference call
A customer calling from a campus telephone can establish a conference with five other participants. A one-time installation fee plus a monthly service charge is required to set up the Six-way Conference Call feature.
