Cellular Telephone Equipment

Campus customers are responsible for the purchase of their own cellular equipment and the range of options for cellular equipment is continually changing. Therefore, we recommend visiting AT&T's website at www.wireless.att.com to view the latest cellular equipment available. Contact our AT&T representative, Prithi Kumar, Phone: (415) 608-0174 and Fax: (916) 405-3876, who can quote you UC Davis prices on cellular equipment and can answer any of your questions.

Don't forget--In addition to purchasing your cellular equipment, you will need to submit a cellular service order form to Communications Resources to assure your monthly charges appear on your UC Davis departmental bill from CR each month.

AT&T Wireless Push to Talk Service

AT&T Wireless now offers a Push to Talk feature for some mobile devices. You can find the latest devices on the AT&T website. The Push to Talk feature costs $9.99 per month, and includes unlimited group calls with up to 20 Push to Talk users. Download this PDF file to learn more about the Push to Talk feature.

Coverage Area

You may visit the AT&T website to search for the latest plan coverage maps.

Cellular Telephone Service and Campus Voicemail

Though some of the cellular calling plans include wireless voicemail, you can still use your campus voicemail box to stay in touch with your cellular phone. With the addition of the campus voicemail advance feature package, you can use the outcall notification feature to program your mailbox to call your cellular phone when messages are waiting. If you are not sure if you have this feature on your campus voicemail box, contact your Communications Resources Customer Service Representative at 752-4603.

Cellular Telephone Repair

Customers are responsible for the purchase, care and maintenance of their telephones and equipment. Communications Resources will not repair or troubleshoot wireless telephone equipment problems. Customer care for wireless equipment can be found by dialing 611 from your wireless telephone or calling AT&T Wireless Customer Care at 1-800-888-7600.
