The Secure UC Davis Campus Wireless Network - moobilenetx
"moobilenetx" is a new wireless network on campus that offers the following improvements over moobilenet.
- 128-bit encryption - all communications between your computer and MoobilnetX are encrypted. Encryption is important for securing your internet traffic and protecting it from being intercepted by a malicious third party.
- Improved roaming - moobilenetx maintains sessions and connections while roaming and allows for smoother handoffs and transitions between wireless access points than with standard moobilenet.
- Faster log in process - Once you configure your laptop and log on, moobilenetx allows you the option of staying logged in when you change locations across campus and try to reconnect.
